The Federal Communications Commission approved the Sony Ericsson CS8, an 8.1-megapixel camera phone heading to T-Mobile in the coming months.
Sony Ericsson, a joint venture between Japan's Sony and Sweden's Ericsson, filed the CS8 for regulatory approval -- a necessary step to bring the device to the United States.
The documents confirms that the quad-band phone supports T-Mobile's new 3G HSDPA network, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS with Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions and Bluetooth capabilities.
The handset's back plate prominently displays T-Mobile's 'myFaves' logo, indicating the carrier's eventual launch.
