AT&T plans an early summer launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 -- the thinnest, full-QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone.
The Waterloo, Ontario-based company said the Curve integrates a high-resolution screen and faster processor with Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS navigation. It comes with a built-in 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and image stabilization, and offers a microSD/SDHC memory card slot that supports up to 16GB per card.The handset also comes with a removable battery that offers 5.5 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time. It features AT&T Navigator for turn-by-turn directions, traffic alerts and rerouting around congestion. "This new smartphone builds upon the success of the BlackBerry Curve with more features for applications," said Chris Hill, Vice President of AT&T's Business Solutions. "Add to it free access to the AT&T's Wi-Fi network and the BlackBerry Curve 8900 delivers unmatched value."
