T-Mobile G1 Software Update Coming Next Week

T-Mobile said it will roll out a software update for the G1 smartphone at the end of next week, adding new features such as an on-screen QWERTY keyboard, video recording and playback and stereo Bluetooth technology.
The software update, which is codenamed "Cupcake" and officially known as Android 1.5, will also include a number of user interface improvements such as faster camera start-up and image capture speed, smoother browser scrolling and photo and video uploads to Picasa and YouTube.The update will be randomly sent over-the-air to T-Mobile G1 users in the next several weeks until the end of May.
