Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless carrier, plans to start selling the Palm Pre and the new BlackBerry Storm in six months.
Verizon's Chief Executive Lowell McAdam said in a webcast that he hopes to eventually have the highly-anticipated Pre on its network.
The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based company also said it would develop a new version of the touch screen BlackBerry Storm but had not announced a timeframe.
"Over the next six months or so you will see devices like Palm Pre and a second generation Storm," said McAdam.
Earlier this week AT&T's Chief Executive Randall Stephenson also said that he sees his company selling the Pre after Sprint's exclusive deal with the smartphone has expired.
Sprint will launch the Pre on June 6 for $200.
