T-Mobile Launches the MyTouch 3G Google Phone for $199

T-Mobile, the nation's fourth-largest carrier, today released the MyTouch 3G -- a new Google Android-powered smartphone with applications that learns and recommends favorite food, stores, and attractions based a user's preferences.
The Bellevue, Wash.-based company also launched "AppPack," a new application within Android Market that manages T-Mobile accounts and highlights new programs like "Sherpa" -- an program that learns a person's likes and dislikes through behavior and user feedback.Other free applications include "imeem Mobile" to stream music, "WorldTour" to view live webcams on the home screen and "Movies by Flixster" to find friends who also want to see movies. Google features include access to Google Search by voice, Google Maps with Street View, YouTube and Picasa. The handset has an integrated 3.2-megapixel camera, music player and access to social networking sites such as Facebook. The T-Mobile MyTouch 3G costs $199 with a two-year contract.
