T-Mobile said the MyTouch 3G -- its new "Google phone" -- is now available in RadioShack stores nationwide.
The MyTouch 3G is T-Mobile's follow-up to the G1, the first phone to use Google's Android software."RadioShack's knowledgeable associates have the expertise to help consumers fully experience the new T-Mobile MyTouch 3G," said Doug Chartier, T-Mobile's senior vice president of sales. "Our partnership with RadioShack offers customers an excellent shopping experience, delivering the coverage they need at the price they want across a variety of compelling devices." Unlike the G1, the MyTouch 3G is a touch screen smartphone without any physical keyboard. It has a built-in 3.2-megapixel camera, music player and access to social networking sites such as Facebook. Last month, the struggling carrier T-Mobile signed a deal with RadioShack to expand its reach by selling postpaid plans in the electronic retailer's more than 4,000 stores. RadioShack offers services and handsets from rivals AT&T, Sprint Nextel and Alltel.
