In March, Sprint teamed up with Clearwire to launch 4G service in 10 cities. Verizon also announced plans to offer 4G in 2010.
T-Mobile has been slow to follow and is still building its 3G network.
Earlier today, Microsoft announced plans to release new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphones on October 6.
