Verizon Launches the Motorola Barrage, Waterproof Clamshell

Verizon today began selling the Motorola Barrage, a rugged waterproof clamshell that can be submerged in up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based company said the Barrage is tested to meet military standards for extreme conditions for dust, rain, vibration, solar radiation, severe temperatures and transit drops.The handset has a 2.0-megapixel camera, push-to-talk functionality, access to Verizon's VZ Navigator for turn-by-turn directions and VCAST Music and Video services. Additional features include Bluetooth wireless technology, high-speed EV-DO Internet and a microSD slot. The company today also announced the Nokia 2705 Shade, HTC Imagio and Verizon Razzle. Verizon said the Motorola Barrage is available now for $130 with two-year contract.
