Verizon said it plans to launch the Nokia 2705 Shade, a low-cost colorful clamshell, on October 6.
The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based company said the 2705 Shade comes with interchangeable covers for personalization.
The compact, light-weight handset is one of Verizon's smallest devices, easily fitting into a pocket or purse. Additional features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth technology and VZ Navigator for turn-by-turn directions.
The carrier today also announced the Motorola Barrage, HTC Imagio and Verizon Razzle.
Verizon said the 2705 Shade will be available online beginning October 6 for $30 with a two-year contract.
The company also said it will give a free picture frame, phone lanyard and purple phone cover to consumers who buy the Shade to support Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
