T-Mobile said Sidekick owners who permanently lost their data as a result of Microsoft's server glitch will receive a $100 gift card in addition a free month of data service it will give all Sidekick data plan subscribers.
The Bellevue, Wash.-based carrier said the gift card can be used towards T-Mobile products and services or a customer's T-Mobile bill.
The company also said it now believes it may be possible to recover "some" lost personal content that it previously thought was unrecoverable.
"We have made significant progress this past weekend, restoring services to virtually every customer," T-Mobile said in a statement. "Microsoft/Danger has teams of experts in place who are working around-the-clock to ensure this stability is maintained."
Last week, a server outage at Microsoft caused some Sidekick users to lose their contact numbers, calender entries, to-do lists and photos.
Microsoft took over services when it acquired Sidekick maker Danger early last year.
