Sprint Launches Motorola Brute Push-to-Talk Phone

Sprint Nextel, the third-largest U.S. carrier, today released the Motorola Brute, a new rugged clamshell with push-to-talk capabilities.
The company said the Brute is a rugged handset that meets Military Specification 810F for dust, shock, vibration, low temperature, high temperature, low pressure, solar radiation, salt fog, humidity and blowing rain.The handset connects to Nextel's Direct Connect and Group Messaging to let users create groups of up to 20 people to send PTT messages to at the same time. It also integrates a 2.0-megapixel camera with flash, large internal and external color displays, GPS navigation, rubberized housing, music and stereo Bluetooth. Sprint said the Motorola Brute is available for $120 with a new two-year contract.
