Verizon Introduces Samsung Haven for Elderly

Verizon plans to launch the Samsung Haven, a budget-friendly phone designed for the elderly, on July 29 for $40 with a two-year contract.
In addition, the Haven has tools to keep people healthy, including a fitness trainer that gives stretching techniques, music to help relieve stress, and an application that stores medical information such as allergies and medications. Verizon today reported a loss for the April-June quarter as a result of a buyout and voluntary departure of 11,000 employees.
