Verizon is rolling out an Android 2.2 update for the Droid Incredible today, with the first group of owners receiving an over-the-air download and others getting it in the next few days.
The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based telecom, which announced the update through its Twitter account, said the new software will offer a faster Web browser, better camera performance and improved system speed.
The update not only targets the Android operating system, but also adds some device features, including Adoble's Flash 10.1 media player, the functions to record 720p videos and the ability to turn the device into a mobile hotspot.
Users will be able to auto-rotate the screen by tilting the phone both left and right, and apps can now be saved onto a microSD card and updated automatically or all at once
Bluetooth voice dialing has been added as well.
