Alltel and Midwest Wireless Holdings today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement for Alltel to purchase Midwest Wireless. Alltel expects to gain approximately 400,000 wireless customers in southern Minnesota, northern and eastern Iowa, and western Wisconsin. These markets are contiguous to existing Alltel operations and cover a population of 1.9 million with 850 MHz.

Alltel and Motorola announced today that the Motorola RAZR V3c will be available at Alltel stores nationwide starting Monday. Customers can watch live television on the new CDMA EVDO handset through MobiTV.

Alltel and Research In Motion today announced the availability of the BlackBerry 7250 Wireless Handheld, BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Internet Service. BlackBerry, developed and manufactured by Research In Motion, operates on Alltel's CDMA 1X digital wireless network.
