Sanyo and LG topped consumer satisfaction ratings among cell phone owners according to a J.D. Power and Associates Evaluation Study released today.
Measuring satisfaction of customers who have owned their mobile phones for less than two years, the study looks at five key factors (in order of importance): physical design (24 percent), operation (22 percent), features (20 percent), handset durability (19 percent) and battery function (15 percent).

Kyocera and Nokia today announced that they have entered into a patent license agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Kyocera is licensed under Nokia's essential patents, and some additional patents, relating to CDMA, PHS and PDC standards. Kyocera will pay royalties to Nokia for all Kyocera CDMA mobile phone and module products. Kyocera Wireless today announced three feature-packed new wireless handsets and numerous exciting accessories to enhance the mobile experience while continuing Kyocera's commitment to provide some of the easiest to use handsets on the market.
The portfolio, displayed at the CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2005 trade show, showcases Kyocera's renowned ability to create feature-rich, affordable and easy-to-operate CDMA mobile handsets for a wide range of users. Kyocera Wireless today unveiled a new wireless phone called the Kyocera Dorado KX13 at the BREW 2005 Conference. A slim bar-style phone with a large color screen and a front-facing speakerphone, Dorado KX13 is an ideal platform for games or ringtones, which can be downloaded over the air via BREW or Java. With its built-in flashlight and internal antenna, Dorado is a sleek, compact and affordable choice for the user on the go.
