LG Electronics today showcased its 2006 lineup at CTIA, highlighting the latest in multimedia messaging, video telephony, terrestrial DMB functionality and quad band technology. Today LG Electronics introduced the new CG300, a sleek and sporty clamshell handset featuring two-way Push-to-Talk (PTT) technology with speakerphone, planned to be released on Cingular Wireless.
The CG300 supports Cingular's PTT service which lets consumers instantly speak to individuals or groups of up to 30 people. Storing up to 99 PTT contacts, customers can view a contact's availability before they call.

The LG F9200 from Cingular is designed to provide users with personal messaging through a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Allowing consumers to email on the road using Yahoo!, Hotmail, and AOL services, customers can register up to ten different email accounts.

LG Electronics previewed its aggressive 2006 mobile phone product roadmap at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). According to recently released mobile phone market share data from IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, LG Electronics has taken the number two spot across all mobile phone manufacturers in terms of shipment volumes in the U.S. for Q3 2005. After selling 7.8 million handsets nationwide, LG's overall market share rose to 19.6%.
