Microsoft today announced will acquire Danger Inc., the makers of the popular Sidekick phones, for an undisclosed sum. The Palo Alto-based company provides services keep people in touch, stay organized and informed while on the go through real-time mobile messaging, social networking services and other applications.

Sprint and Microsoft today provided customers with a fully integrated GPS location-aware mobile search service on Sprint phones. Voice search by Live Search for mobile using Tellme technologies will also be available on select Sprint phones as a separate download. The new services enable people to find Web, local, and phone content easily using traditional input methods or voice.

Nokia and Microsoft have joined together to provide customers with a new suite of Windows Live services specifically designed for Nokia devices. Starting today Nokia customers in eleven countries with compatible S60 devices can download the new suite enabling access to Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Contacts and Windows Live Spaces. Starting next year, customers who purchase compatible Nokia Series 40 handsets will also have access to these popular Windows Live services.

Yahoo! today announced the availability of Yahoo! Go for Mobile 2.0 on Windows Mobile powered devices. Expanding to 75 Windows Mobile devices from major manufacturers, Yahoo! Go 2.0 will be supported by more than 175 different mobile phone models.
