People can now use their laptops to receive high-speed wireless data connections in more places as Cingular Wireless begins offering the first national unlimited EDGE / WiFi data plan.
Cingular customers can now receive unlimited high-speed data connections at nearly 4,000 WiFi hotspots or when accessing the company's expanded EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution) coverage area - domestically and internationally.

Motorola and Vanguard Car Rental, the operator of National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car today announced the roll-out of Vanguard's "Navigation Station," a new portable GPS navigation system.

According to research conducted at Melbourne's Monash University, people who can't live without their cell phones are likely to be extroverts or have low self-esteem.
The survey, which studied 195 people over the age of 18, determined personality can be largely deduced by how they used their phones; based on phone bill size, reasons for calls, and aches and pains linked to use, such as sore thumbs from text messaging.

Vodafone and Toshiba today announced a strategic partnership to market a range of exclusive 3G handsets in Europe, Australia, Japan and New Zealand. Building on their partnership in Japan, where Toshiba is one of the leading suppliers of handsets to Vodafone KK, this expanded relationship marks Toshiba's entrance into the European mobile phone market.
