Motorola's battered stock soared 10.3 percent Friday after the company signaled it may get out of its trademark mobile phone business. As the world's No. 3 mobile phone maker, Motorola said it is also exploring strategic alternatives including a possible separation of its mobile devices business from other units.

T-Mobile USA today announced it added 951,000 net new customers compared to 857,000 in the third quarter of 2007 and 901,000 in the fourth quarter of 2006. Net new contract customer additions amounted to 733,000 in the fourth quarter of 2007, or 77% of total net new customer additions, compared to 557,000 or 65% in the third quarter of 2007 and 783,000 or 87% in the fourth quarter of 2006. Dear Readers, today I removed information and photos of Samsung's upcoming phones. This post is an attempt to inform you why such a move was made.
Samsung sent me a Cease and Desist Letter regarding the posted images and information of unreleased Samsung phones.
Normally I stand by my work, publishing consumer information as a news source. However in this case, I begrudgingly complied and removed all information rather than have Samsung "aggressively pursue all means necessary, and weigh all available remedies at its disposal" against me.
Mobiledia has developed a large following of over 2 million monthly visitors which I thank you (our readers) for. But unfortunately I am a small website nowhere financially capable of funding a legal battle with a large multi-national corporation such as Samsung.

Sony Ericsson announced that it has signed Maria Sharapova to an exclusive four year sponsorship, becoming the company's first global brand ambassador. Maria, who turns 21 in April this year, will be working with Sony Ericsson's design team on a range of products and accessories. Additionally, she will undertake consumer brand campaigns designed to engage Sony Ericsson's core target audiences.
The off-court agreement complements Sony Ericsson's 6 year $88 million global title sponsorship of the WTA Tour which was signed in January 2005.
