Samsung Adds GB Densities to MMC Line-Up

Samsung Electronics today announced that it is sampling Gigabyte (GB) MultiMediaCards (MMCs) with customers: 1GB and 2GB MMC plus cards, and the industry's first 1GB MMC mobile card. The higher densities and faster speeds of Samsung's Version 4.1 memory cards will allow consumers to gain higher performance from advanced mobile consumer devices, such as mobile phones, digital still cameras (DSCs), PDAs, MP3 music players and PMPs (portable multimedia players). Samsung Unveils Symbian-based Smartphones in Europe

Samsung Electronics announced the launch of the company's first Symbian OS-based smartphones (SGH-D720 / SGH-D730) for the European market. This marks Samsung's full-fledged entry into the European smartphone market. The D720 and D730 will be introduced in succession, starting with Germany in August, followed by France, Italy and Russia. The D720 and the D730 are compact and small with the same look and feel as the traditional mobile phone. The D720 has a sleek slide-up design and weighs only 110g.
