Samsung unveiled its 7-megapixel camera phone at CeBIT 2005 in Hanover, Germany yesterday. Named the SCH-V770, the dual-face block-styled phone features a 2-inch 16-million color TFD (Thin Film Diode) screen capable of displaying a resolution of 320 x 240 px, MP3 player, business card reader, 32 MB of internal memory with external memory card slot, and digital power amplifier that produces high-quality sound and video recording functions. Samsung has won the GSM Association's award for Best Mobile Handset with its SGH-D500. The award, announced at a ceremony at the 3GSM World Congress last night, recognized excellence in handset design and innovation.
Samsung was shortlisted SGH-D500 for Best Handset and SGH-Z107 for Best 3GSM Handset categories respectively.
The Best Handset award was finally announced at GSM Award dinner, Les Ambassadeurs, Palais des Festivals, Cannes on 15th February, out of 61 nominees among 480 initial entries.
The SGH-D500 delivers the latest multimedia and imaging technology in a compact and elegant soft-touch slide-up style. A powerful business device as well as a multimedia companion, the SGH-D500 incorporates all of Samsung's leading technology into one package: a 1.3-megapixel camera with flash; video recording with 60 minutes of storage; Bluetooth, email, and SyncML connectivity; a speakerphone with enhanced voice clarity; an MP3 music player; 262K TFT screen; 64 polyphonic ring tones; and 96MB of internal user memory.

Samsung has unveiled its latest range of 3G handsets, the SGH-Z500, Z130 and Z300. Along with its phones, Samsung is also exhibiting several products that demonstrate multimedia including Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) phones.

Macromedia announced a licensing agreement with Samsung Electronics to provide Flash Lite 1.1. A variation of Macromedia Flash Player, Flash Lite 1.1 is specifically designed for mobile devices, giving the ability to view interactive Flash content.
Samsung plans on using Flash Lite to deliver graphical user interfaces and rich interactive experiences on new mobile handsets worldwide.
