Enterprise customers are seeing new business mobility benefits as Sprint continues an aggressive build-out of its Power Vision high-speed network. Launched in July, the Power Vision EV-DO (evolution, data optimized) wireless service has expanded to more than 141 major markets and more than 250 airports nationwide, and will be accessible on various devices to about 150 million people in over 220 major markets by early 2006.

Sprint today announced the availability of Nextel Direct Send Picture, a first-of-its-kind service that allows Nextel subscribers with capable Nextel phones the ability to send and review a picture quickly and easily, all while on a Nextel Walkie-Talkie call. The picture simultaneously appears on both the user's and recipient's phones during the call - so they can both view and discuss it without changing between voice and data services. This capability builds upon the Direct Send service launched last year that utilizes the Nextel Walkie-Talkie button to send contact information and transfer the data into another subscriber's contact list.

Sprint Nextel, Comcast Corporation, Time Warner Cable - a unit of Time Warner Inc., Cox Communications and Advance/Newhouse Communications today announced they will form a joint venture that will accelerate the convergence of video entertainment, wireline and wireless data and communications products and services to the approximately 41 million customers currently served by four of the country's largest cable companies as well as to Sprint's nearly 46 million wireless subscribers. The venture has the potential to serve approximately 75 million homes currently passed by the cable companies.

Sprint customers will be the first wireless customers in the U.S. to download full songs over-the-air. Today Sprint announced the opening of the Sprint Music Store powered by Groove Mobile, the first music store in the U.S. that lets wireless customers browse, preview, download, play and manage high-quality digital music, right from their phone. Sprint customers can now take their music with them on the go and have instant access to purchase and download music when they want to, not just when they are in front of a PC.
