Sprint has released an update to its popular palmOne Treo 650 smartphone. The Treo 650 Updater features performance and reliability enhancements for the smartphone including:
- Overall voice quality improvements, including fix for voice "choppiness" some Sprint PCS customers experienced
- Internal setting modification to allow correct access to Sprint Affiliate roaming partner networks (previously released as Sprint PCS Treo 650 Roaming Patch)

Sprint today announced the addition of music video ringers to an impressive line up of downloadable ringers available to Sprint PCS Vision customers. Sprint announced today the introduction of the LG MM-535. This will be the fifth multimedia handset to be delivered to the marketplace by Sprint. The MM-535 by LG will offer customers the ability to enjoy Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Services through the built-in media player and dual speakers with 3D sound for premium audio quality. Planning to offer on-site repair shops in more than half its stores by mid March, Sprint will be the first cell phone carrier to open dedicated technical facilities at its retail locations.

Sprint and Sierra Wireless today announced that the Sprint PCS Connection Card by Sierra Wireless (AirCard 580) is now available for sale through Sprint business sales channels. Designed to operate on CDMA 1xEV-DO (Evolution, Data Optimized) and 1xRTT networks, the AirCard 580 by Sierra Wireless will support broadband-like speeds when Sprint launches EV-DO service later this year and is backwards compatible to 1xRTT speeds in areas where Sprint EV-DO coverage is not available.
