Verizon Wireless today announced G'zOne Type-V - a phone built to withstand harsh environmental conditions and provide performance for customers with outdoor lifestyles.
The G'zOne Type-V is compliant to multiple Military Standards including exposure to temperatures in excess of 140 degrees F, extreme vibration, solar radiation, conditions set to simulate storm conditions of two inches of rainfall per hour with high winds and submersion in one meter of water.

T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless ranked best in customer care according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Wireless Customer Care Performance Study released today.
The study, now in its fourth year, provides a detailed report card on a semi-annual basis of wireless provider customer care performance based on customer experiences with three point-of-contact methods: telephone call with a service representative and/or automated response system (ARS); at a retail wireless store; and online Internet connection. Within each contact method, processing issues such as problem resolution efficiency and hold-time duration are also measured.

Verizon Wireless plans to prorate its early termination fees starting this fall, reducing the amount some customers pay to end their service early, Chief Executive Officer Denny Strigl said on Wednesday.
The flat fee that Verizon Wireless and its rivals levy on early cancellations is a top customer complaint, Strigl said during his speech at a Yankee Group wireless conference.
