Verizon Wireless Ends Sales through RadioShack

Verizon Wireless today announced that it would cease selling its popular wireless voice and data products in RadioShack stores December 31, 2005. The move comes as RadioShack changes its wireless sales strategy.

Cingular Wireless today announced a 10-year distribution agreement with RadioShack, the nation's most trusted consumer electronics specialty retailer, that will give Cingular more than 5,000 new sales outlets across the United States. This agreement also will make RadioShack Cingular's single largest distribution outlet.

Verizon Wireless and UTStarcom announced today the immediate availability of the Verizon Wireless PC 5740 wireless PC Card for use on Verizon Wireless' Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) network. With the PC 5740 Card, customers can take advantage of Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess wireless broadband service that provides access with average speeds of 400 - 700 kbps based on Verizon Wireless' network tests in more than 50 major metropolitan markets and 57 airports in the nation.


Verizon Wireless and Sprint Users Can Now Exchange Messages

In a move that allows more than 70 million wireless customers to exchange picture and video messages with one another directly from their wireless camera phones, Verizon Wireless and Sprint today announced an inter-carrier Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) agreement between the two companies.

Electronic Arts and Verizon Wireless today announced a publishing relationship that will bring EA's blockbuster games to Verizon Wireless Get It Now customers. In coming weeks, the initial launch line-up is expected to include graphically rich versions of Madden NFL 06, NBA Live 06, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06, FIFA 06, Need for Speed Most Wanted, The Sims 2, and popular games from Pogo.com including Tri Peaks Solitaire, Turbo 21 and Poppit. Verizon Wireless customers with VCAST-enabled phones can download 3D games and can take advantage of Need for Speed Underground 2 which will launch in 3D exclusively on VCAST from Verizon Wireless.
