The Audiovox CDM-9500 is a tri-mode, web-enabled, CDMA2000-capable phone in a clamshell form. The CDM-9500 is also equipped with the MSM5100 chipset and gpsOne-based position location technology. This allows compatible carriers to track a user's location. Feature-rich yet compact, the CDM-9500 sports dual LCD displays for total information availability. The exterior 2-line LCD contains basic information while the interior primary LCD is a 9-line 4K color TFT display for full text and video presentation.

I guess I'm a little late in reviewing the Audiovox CDM 9500, but I've had it for at least 3 years and it's been my favorite phone. I don't think it's available anymore. Audiovox has been my preferred brand since I moved from analog to digital. The first digital phone I got was a Nokia, and it would not give me consistent reception in my house. Then I tried Audiovox, and got fine reception. Today my antenna broke to the extent that a new one cannot screw into the phone, so I've ordered the Audiovox CDM-8940. I sure hope it's as great as the 9500 has been. Mainly because I don't feel there are any other options, as the rest of the phones I looked at were either ugly or brands I don't trust enough.
