Released for Verizon Wireless, the HTC Droid Eris combines Google's popular Android platform with HTC Sense, making it easy for users to stay close to one another and create an individualized mobile experience tailored specifically to their needs. Consumers can customize a seven-panel home screen with widgets -- such as Facebook status updates and photos -- designed to bring the most important information to the surface. The Droid Eris organizes interactions by person, so users can access text messages, emails and call history and even Flickr streams and Facebook updates from a single contact card. It also includes a 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen, GPS, digital compass, gravity-sensor, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, a 5.0-megapixel auto-focus camera and expandable microSD memory.

Main Features

  • Large 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen and trackball interface
  • Built-in 5.0-megapixel auto-focus camera
  • Compatibility with Google services like Google Maps, Gmail, Google Search and more
  • Selection of widgets can be placed right on the home screen to switch scenes, catch up with friends, capture some memories with Footprints, or view local time, weather and maps
  • Stay close to friends by viewing text exchanges, email conversations, Facebook status, Flickr photo albums and phone logs, neatly organized by people
  • Integrated GPS and a digital compass with a sensor that enables the phone to know what direction it is facing
  • Smart dialer for simplified dialing by name, number or initials
  • Full-featured mobile browser that displays Flash-based sites
