Before I replaced my HTC T-pro it would hold a charge for about 4-5 hours. And I didn’t use it besides a few msgs and phone calls. Now that I have my new HTC T-pro phone and it’s working the way it should work, I still don’t like it. I’m still trying to configure it the way I like it. When im on a call and I get a text msg it sets the msg tone in my ear when im talking. When I push the home button the phone will make a call sometimes. I always have my phone in the case it came with and the phone on standby and screen locked. I get a msg or a call and the phone auto unlocks so I go to pull the phone out it will end the call or mess up the text msg. Ill also have the phone with the full qwerty open when im text msging cause I don’t like to use the touch screen, and ill reply to a text msg and it will look for a contact in my phone book. Or ill press the home button or Xing out of text msging or email or something and the phone will return to a application that I was using earlier that day. Just a lot of little thing that get me mad. The HTC Touch Pro is a phone that i would tell people to stay away from. If anyone has any questions please ask. Thank you for taking the time to read my reviews.

The problems im having with my touch pro is 1. When i charge the phone off the wall plug, the phone gets really hot. 2. After charged over night the phone sometimes will not turn on. I have to remove the battery to reset the phone to use it. 3. When i hang up the phone after talking it sometimes calls back from the person that i just talked to but it wont let me answer, then it will hang up on its own and it ill do that a few times. then say i have like 17 missed calls from that person. Same with text msgs. Ill get msgs with nothing on the msg. i have never dropped my phone. i take really good care of it. i only had it for 2 weeks. i think i just got a jacked up phone. once my new touch pro come in i will post more reviews asap. if you have any questions please ask.

It’s been a couple of weeks with the HTC pro. Here are some other issues that I have. 1. The USB charger is a unique shape. You can’t use any normal USB to charge your phone or download music from a friend’s computer if you wanted too. You always have to have the supplied USB cable with you. Also, you have to use the supplied headphones if you wanted to listen to the phone privately. If you wanted to use your own set of headphones you have to plug in the supplied adaptor that hangs off the phone itself 3".

AFAIK - All of these "HTC Touch" phones, including the "HTC Touch Diamond" are still using resistive touch, not capactitive touch like the iphone.
My research says that the only capacitive touch phones are the iPhone, LG Prada, and G1 (HTC Dream).
Does anyone have confirmed information about the type of touch sensor used in the HTC Touch Pro (sprint htc touch diamond)?

I certainly mean capacitive touch. I would love a source on your comment about their screen use types. Most information I've seen says that nearly all HTC phones are resistive touch screens. The G1 being the prime exception. (The G1 currently uses a synaptics capacitive touch screen) For example, the HTC Touch HD uses a resistive touch screen that is supposedly capable of multi-touch as well.
A gizmodo article claims that the reason for HTC's screens being primarily resistive is the suitability to writing asian characters with a stylus.
Unfortunatly I can't post the URL. Search for
