I rate the color display as outstanding in brightness and clarity.
It beats my previous LG4400 (verizon wcdma) by a bit.
I like the voice clarity, smaller size, I like the keypad a little better.
It really has a nice feel with great backlights. I also like the display lighting.
It has high intensity for the first many seconds, and then drops to a lower, but still quite viewable light if there are not key presses for a while. This is great because I assume it saves on battery power.
But there are some drawbacks compared to my old phone
I really like being able to store multiple phone numbers per person. A cell phone, a home phone, a work phone, ect. Both phones do this. But this is where the 1150 has some problems.
With the 4400 you could have voice activated dialing for each number for a person. Example: "John Cell", "John Home"., "John work". Likewise you could assign speed dial to each of Johns cell, home and work phones.
On the 1150 you can not do this. It seems you can only assigne 1 speed dial and one voice prompt for John, PERIOD! and the one it picks is then number you tag as the primary number. This is quite annoying to me and
is the only thing I don't like about the phone so far.
Also, I notice that when I take pictues, the internal memory fills up after either 2 or 3. So it doesn't seem to have much internal memory available.
I like the monochrome screen with the flip-down, because you can easily see time without activating the phone since the monochrome screen can be seen in daylight.
An annoyance though, instead of dispalying the date on the monochrome,
like my 4400 did, it displays ATT Wireless. How stupid! I already know I'm on att wireless, what I want to see is the time and Date, not only the time!

a couple more things I have noticed.
The phone is slow when looking up people in the phone book.
For example, I can type Joh for john and then I have to wait a second or two before it finds the number. this has tripped me up a couple times because I am used to pressing Joh followed immediately by SEND from my old LG phone. If I do this on my new phone I will get the wrong number (what ever number is at the top of my phone book). So I have to pause and wait that 1 or 2 seconds till it finds the number.
By comparison, my old LG phone would show all entries starting with J the instant I pressed J. When I pressed o, it would immediately show all entries starting with jo. There was NO perceptable lag.
The other thing I notice, and you can find this out in the store, is that the ring tones are not that desirable. I don't like most of them. Unlike other phones I have listened to. you can always download I guess if you want but I haven't tried it since its not that big of deal to me.

I LOVE MY PHONE! i know its a year or so old...but i have a cingular contract...and when my moto. V220 broke...this was my only phone unless i wanted to buy a new one...so i just got it able to work with a cingular sim card!! ive loved it ever since! i like the wieght of it. its not to light so it doesnt feel cheap like its going to break, and its not at all heavy! i like the way pictures turn out...their much clearer then my moto phone! i like how visible the front screen is...especially when the light is on!! the only thing i dont really like...but ive gotten over, is speaker phone! this is my first LG phone, so i dont know if they have it, but i wish this phone did!! i like the shape of the phone...the ringtones are really loud! and yes like a person said above me...the ringtones sort of suck...but i deal with it, only because im not able to download any!! but other then that...i love my phone and i hope it doesnt break any time soon!!

I have noticed alot of the same things that he has. All around this is a great phone but there are a whole lot of software bug issues... One of the most annoying things is after i will get off a call, for some reason it will like zoom in on the north west corner of the screen and each pixel is like 5 away from each other.... Another bug is that one you try and take a picture sometimes' it will put a weird purple bar about a cm down from the purpe screen and will show part of your wallpaper. It freezes up alot on me. Also alot of times the pictures will get corrupt somehow and you cant look at any of them until you restart the phone. Oh and Tom you can check the date by just pushing the volume control button when the phone is closed...
