Just wait until you've had it for 6 months. My first phone, 6 months into its very short life, started to drop calls because the battery would drop from 3 bars to 0 bars, aka power-down mode, in about 2 minutes. So I brought it into Sprint, and they sent me a refurbished phone of the exact same model. Right now, about 5-6 months into my "new" refurbished phone, the exact same thing is happening. Once the phone shuts down on you, you'll plug it in and 10 seconds later the phone will say "Charging Finished". Right now I can only communicate with people if I am hooked up to a battery charger. This phone is horrible and I regret ever thinking it was cute in the store.

I can't find any website that SAYS my phone will play mp3 ringers but I figured out how to do it! first of all, if you don't know how to do any of these steps i'm sorry you are on your own.

first, your desired mp3 ringtone needs to be a low bitrate between 32kbps-96kbps and make sure you have enough free space in your phone's memory to save the file (did you erase the demo applications after you looked at them?)

ERASE the file extension from your mp3 ringer (the '.mp3' part at the end of the filename) and REPLACE it with '.qcp' and this will trick your phone into playing it as a ringtone.

There are various websites that offer a free upload service that will let you send this file to your phone. if you don't have the internet plan included in your contract, you will pay a per-kb download fee, so check that before you do this!

if some other site tells you that you have to convert the file to a different format, do not pay attention to them! your phone will play .mid files and .qcp files, and renaming an mp3 to .qcp will trick your phone into reading it and playing it perfectly. just remember you only have 1mb of storage space for all your games and ringtones, so do your best to use the lowest bitrate you can, and definitely mono. icon_alien.gif

The hands free device on the LG PM-225 is HORRIBLE. As the above stated review, the clarity on the phone is good but the hands free device is unusable.

Also, the speaker phone is so garbled that you can't understand the other person yet the other person can hear you fine.

If you live in a city where hands free is required, do NOT buy this phone.

Well I just got the LG PM-225 the other day (two days ago, actually), and have decided to share my experience with it thus far.
The physical apperance of the phone is VERY cute and compact. I like how it looks slick, and can fit into the palm of my hand. The two colors are either silver or red: I have the red version.
The phone itself is VERY nice. The ringtones are pretty standard, nothing new, but livable.
So far, all of my calls have been clear: no problems whatsoever with the volume, clarity, or anything!
I only wish the camera was a little bit clearer...but then again, it's a PHONE, so, once again, no complaints here!
