This is a remarkable phone for a person who wants a phone and not a camera, game player or MP3 all in one. I travel all over the United States and have used Nokia phones in the past and this LG gives me reception where the Nokia would say "No Service". In my opinion a phone is for communication. If you want to take pictures - buy a camera. It has every option necessary for effective communication including a speaker where two or more people can talk at once, a sizeable contacts list, voice recognition dial and a wealth of extras including minutes used, billing info, gps, voice mail notification, etc. .
Most importantly it works where others don't and has excellent reception. Limited amounts of saying "Can you hear me now". If you want a bunch of stuff you don't need for communication get something else; but if you want an effective communication device then this is an excellent choice for the money.

Very good phone. Small, battery lasts a week, usable Schedule, loud speaker mode, good vibration mode, very easy to use. The only thing I didn’t like for the first time about this phone was no customization of ringtone, wallpaper. Hopefully after making some investigation and despite answer from Verizon and other cell authorities that it is not possible, I found solutions to customize ringtone, wallpaper in this phone. Now I am fully satisfied with this phone.

I've had my LG VX3200 for about 14 months and I am just now encountering my first problem with the phone. I believe I've just plain worn out the vibration motor, as I have my phone on vibrate almost exclusively.
I haven't ever been more pleased with a cell phone. The phone goes about a week without a charge depending on talk times. I can get a full 2 hour conversation out of this phone on a full charge, at a bare minimum.
Now I'm not a bells and whistles kind of guy. I don't NEED a camera in my phone, I don't need 6,000 ring tones, and I sure as heck don't need to transport files and mp3s on my phone. The only thing missing from this phone in my mind is a front panel display for caller ID. That would have made the nifty "answer on open" function really useful.
All in all, if your looking for a phone to be a phone... this is the one.

Hi, I'm a current user of the LG VX3200 w/ Verizon. Let me tell you, this phone may be fine for some people, and I don't want to stop anyone from buying it, but for me it's just not worth it. I got this phone after my LG VX3100 was stolen at a party last February. I had the 3200 for about a month before it just completely stopped working. Whenever I tried turning on the phone, the screen would just be blue. It was useless. I was able to get a new one, though, because of the warrantee. Now, about a year later, the replacement phone decided to also randomly stop working. I am now receiving absolutely no service no matter where I go, making it impossible to make/receive a phone call. I also have the same problem I experienced before with turning on the phone and having the screen be blue. I haven't been able to use my phone for about a week, but right now as I'm writing this my dad's out getting me a new one, still under the warrantee, although it will be a 3300 since they discontinued the 3200. My phone is under a 2 year plan and I really don't want to go through this crap for a whole nother year.
On the bright side, the phone does have a decent speakerphone, but that's pretty much it. I didn't really like the wallpapers it came with. Another thing I didn't really like was that if I wanted my ring tone to be one of my favorite songs, I had to record it on the voice memo, since the phone didn't have "Get it Now".
Anyone who has/is getting the 3200, I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK

I just got my phone in July at the booth at Walmart, it has no games but a handful of ringtones, and no nifty cool features. I have to pay to download any games at all.. a monthly fee as well as a fee when I download the game PLUS the minutes, And it's very limited with wallpapers too. So yeah, if you don't care what your phone looks and sounds like and games don't matter or you have lotsa money to spend on extras and you just want a phone that works, this one does just that LOL!! Ooo it DOES have speakerphone that works really well... I'll give it that much

I would not recommend this phone. Got two of these phones at the same time. First one quit within a month and a half- and the second within 4 months. I use the phones respectfully, so they were not abused or mis-used. Question the reliability of warranty repair. Sent the first one in and after a 4 month wait a different model phone was returned...wasn't meant to be a replacement phone - hmmm...so what happened to the original phone? Second was sent in, with a 2 month wait - returned as unreparable due to liquid damage and damage to "motherboard" - phone came back in terrible shape - scratched up, pieces missing - wasn't the way it was sent in. When I brought it in, had blue screen, as others have mentioned, was told it was common problem and under warranty. I'm stuck....two phones down the tubes.
I hope that others who have had trouble with these phones will post replies and contact the company. Service provider said they are getting a lot returned. Sad thing is, you end up paying in all directions when you don't have a good quality phone - have to buy new phones, can't get out of your contract unless you want to pay dearly. Who benefits when new phones have to be purchased? The phone company. They need to know when they are providing poor quality products.
It's nice to see others enjoy this phone and have had good luck with it.

I have never had as many problems with any other phone as I have had with this one. First, after having the phone for about 4 months, the charger randomly stopped working one day. Then, about 4 months after I replaced the charger, the phone suddenly turned off and from thereafter would blue screen when I'd turn it on. Being the poor college student that I am, I tried to live with the phone having a blue screen (I could still make and receive calls), but about a month later the mouthpiece microphone stopped working, so the other parties wouldn't be able to hear anything that I was saying. I finally had to take it in, but when I spoke with a tech I was told that the damage was MY fault, as the couple of tiny scratches on the battery case proved I had supposedly dropped the phone repeatedly. So, I was not able to replace the phone for free (the warranty had run out already), and would have had to have paid for a new phone. For the next few months, I had no phone because I could not afford to buy a replacement phone.
Luckily for me, my sister was starting a new phone plan and gave me her cell phone -- the exact same kind. She had already replaced the same phone once because it had the blue screen, but then about a week after I got the replacement phone it blue screened. I was able to get it replaced, but then the charger stopped working. I replaced the charger, but now (3 months later), the phone no longer works yet again. It starts beeping randomly, says "car kit" where it usually says Verizon Wireless, and turns on by itself -- the only way I can keep it off is if I take the battery out. This phone is terrible, I feel sorry for anyone who ever has to suffer through having it. This phone is the devil.
