Pros: View text with phone closed is back, better reception than VX8300 despite internal antenna, camera delay *almost* gone
Cons: Clamshell edges hurt your ear, no flash, LG changed charge/data port yet again, speaker located on the back
I got this phone as a replacement to my much loved VX8300 that suffered a broken screen. Much like the 8300, this phone lacks a flash, but picture quality is looking better. I was dissapointed to learn that yet again, LG changed the data/charge port which meant that I had to get another data cable, and I have to get another car charger. Using it for the first time I noticed that the non rounded edges made opening the phone difficult, as well as being uncomfortable on the ear. It is a very solid phone despite looking and feeling a little cheaper than the 8300. Going from the VX8100 to the VX8300, LG dropped the ability to view texts with the phone closed. a HUGE convenience, luckily enough, it was brought back with the VX8350.
Sound quality is great and loud, but the stereo speakerphone suffers with them on the back. I am used to holding the phone cupped in the palm of my hand while using speaker, but the new design causes the phone to emit feedback. The Verizon GUI lost all but 1 alternate color scheme.
Despite the negatives (I am always quick to point them out), I highly recommend this phone.

I'm quite disappointed in this phone. I only upgrade every 2 years because it's "free" with Verizon, but I'm taking this phone back.
I absolutely need consistent voice commands. This phone doesn't deliver. I say "Call John" and the phone comes back with names that aren't anywhere near the sound of "John." I say "check time" and it can't understand me until I say it 3 or 4 times.
The speakerphone gives screechy feedback. Why the hell would that happen?
Can't flip the phone open with one hand.
Feels flimsier and cheaper than my older LG.
The only reason I upgraded is because I need handsfree dialing. The bluetooth feature of the phone is just ok. I should be able to hold down the button on my bluetooth headset to bring up the voice commands menu but it doesn't work. I actually see the menu appear for 1/3 of a second and then disappear before I'm able to give a voice command.
Ugh. Back to the phone store.

I don't have much good to say about this phone.
Pros: It's small.
Cons:
Reception is poor compared to my previous E815 Motorola. Areas that were never a problem with my old phone were problematic for this phone, despite few or full bars on display. Text messages and would show up 2-24 hours after they were sent. Calls to my phone were directed straight to voicemail. Verizon tech support confirmed it was not a problem with the network, problems were most likely with my handset.
Speakerphone feedsback. loud squeeling!
Very difficult to use with one hand.
Scratches easily.
Side buttons innaccessable with leather cover on.
Avoid this phone.

Novice user? this phone is for you! You won't even notice whats really wrong with this phone and will enjoy its matrix of pretty stuff.
Experienced user? this phone is not what you are looking for
The usb driver is corrupt! no matter what they tell ya! so don't expect to get it connected for mp3s. The driver does not exist they had to upgrade my phone because of the issue and I got an enV2 out of it<can't wait!> BTW you can only get purchased mp3s on it and of course the liscense fee that goes with it. The music essentials cd u get is not even up to date you will have to dl it from the site to make it work right. But again the usb driver is corrupt so it wont work neway
Can't wait for my enV2
