With all due respect, I really regret having to post this review about this phone. I bought this phone on line through AT&T, I researched the reviews
of all of the phones and I decided to buy this one for which at the time there
were not any reviews, well just a little over two months of gentle use and care, I have a phone that is coming apart on me the flip mechanism which
incorporates a roll pin type bearing has hung up on the right side of the phone and has crack the plastic portion of the retainer piece, it also drops off
my blue tooth connection so when I am driving I have to stop and pull over to reset my connection, Motorola needs to fix these problems or take this phone off the market and now reading the reviews from others about what a junk phone this is, there is talk about a class action law suit and the kicker is
AT&T talking to thier warranty staff to try and get things taken care is nothing short of a nightmare, they have people who are from another country with very poor english skills I mean no command of the english language at all, you get 4000 I am sorry I am so sorry etc. I just want
to have phone that is equitable and works, I know now I should have gone with Noki, please do not buy this phone.

I have a Motorola EM330 cell phone. The Phone is two months old. The flip top has broken at the right hing point. The phone has quit working. The phone has not been misused in any way. Yet AT&T has not agreed to replace the phone which is supposed to be under warranty for one year. The phone appears to be made from poor quality materials.

Although I've only had this phone for a day, I've noticed that when I type a text message I have to hit the buttons harder than I think I should in order for the correct letter to be selected. I don't like the T9 tap version that is on the phone. I've never used this kind before. When I want to add punctuation it includes it with the word you selected.
Anyway. The phone flip seems sturdy but I called my wireless provider to get the monthly insurance anyway seeing as I've seen many reviews stating that the flip mechanism broke within a few months.
The menu is a bit frustrating, the order in which the menu items are listed seems out of order but apparently I can change the order of them. Just haven't done it yet.
The phone does not come with any music already on the phone and until you put an mp3 in the phone the music controls for the outside of the phone won't work.
I've had many other phones in my lifetime and what I find confusing is Motorola's way of selecting/opening items. You have to click the left softkey instead of the center "ok" button because the center button is a menu most of the time. That's annoying but I'll get used to it.
So far so good with this phone. It doesn't take long to charge, even on USB.
Oh, in order to use the usb cable to transfer files from your computer to the phone you have to have the phone open and then connect the usb cable as the phone will ask you Yes or No to 'connect as a storage device' you will select Yes on the phone to do so.
The ringtones that are included are ok, not great, but you can always use an mp3 for a ringtone.

Had this phone for only a few months of light duty use; never dropped it or banged it about. The right hinge cracked and broke off, making the phone unusable. The hinge is connected to the body of the phone by a thin piece of light-weight, cheap plastic, which broke under the normal light stresses of opening and closing the phone. It is unbelievable that Motorola would design such a piece of junk and that AT&T would offer this junk to its customers. I contacted AT&T to have the phone repaired or replaced, but they say categorically that any physical damage is user abuse and refused to repair or replace the phone. The web is full of reports of this broken/cracked hinge; it is clearly a design issue that Motorola and AT&T will not admit. Good companies step up to the plate and make it right with their customers when they make a mistake, not just leave the problem with their customers. Good engineering companies design the product right the first time, and perform testing to ensure it works correctly. Both Motorola and AT&T earn a big zero on this phone.
