When my contract expired I was ready to get rid of my old V300 so i went to a mall and went to a t-mobile dealer and they offered me this phone for $50 w/ 2yr. Well I could not resist this offer so I took it. And I must say I was attached to this ultra-thin fashion phone. So far I have been getting much better signal than my old V300. It is the thinnest production phone Motorola makes (thinner than L7 & V3) and lacks the Itunes the bigger brother L7 has. The generous 10MB of internal memory makes up for the average 640 x 480 Motorola camera found on the RAZR and L7 & VXXX... I wish they would upgrade it to something better however it will do. The phone plays great loud, clear MP3 ring tones. Overall I am very satisfied with the first Motorola phone that can compete in terms of radio signal quality. Overall I must recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for something stylish yet affordable. T-mobile doesn’t even offer this phone to customers I was lucky enough to get it from a dealer that had them unlocked.

My brother came home with a brand spanking new Samsung T509 and I was immediately stricken with cell phone envy. My Samsung SGHc225 was getting long in the tooth and recently suffered a cracked though still functional screen. We both use T-Mobile and I was up for a contract renewal anyway so I bribed my wife with a promise of a new phone of her own and we went to the mall the next day. We got there quite late and to make the long story short they just ran out of T509s. I was irritated and ready to leave when the salesman offered me the L6 SLVR for $25 with contract renewal because they did not have the phone I wanted. That was less then half of what I would have paid for the T509 and my old samsung was on life support so I took the plunge and got it. All I can say is that it was the wisest move I made in a long time. The phones are nearly identical as far as features go though the T509 sports a slightly bigger screen and displays more colors (65K for L6 and 225K for T509). The memory capacity difference is negligible. As for sound quality the L6, in my opinion is better but that is only my opinion. Like I said earlier, all other features are virtually identical so it all boils down to personal preference. It took a while to get used to motorola's interface as I had long been used too my old samsung but all in all it is a great phone that is unlocked so I can use it with another service provider should I tire of T-mobile for some peculiar reason

I purchased my Motorola L6 about a week ago and am very impressed so far. For only $50 and a 2 year contract I think I got a great deal. I also purchased Motorola Phone Tools and seem to work just fine, to get your monies worth buy the software. You can connect to your PC via Bluetooth or USB (USB allows you to charge your phone). It allows you to synchronize with Outlooks contacts & calendar. You also need this software if you want to transfer pictures or sounds to/from your phone. You can transfer pictures to your phone with out having to edit them to the proper format, it does the conversion for you. You can use MP3s or MIDI for ring tones and you don’t have to pay for the download. I used to have a Nokia something-or-another and I did like the ease of setting up speed dial on it. The L6 automatically sets up speed dials as you add them to your phone so you have to slide person 2 to slot 34 to move person 29 to slot 2. It reminds me of those small slide games that have 8 squares, one missing, that you have to slide around until all the numbers are in order again. The camera & video cam is better than I expected but for me that part is just a toy. The phone also does all the internet stuff too but I don’t use it so I can’t comment on it. I have yet to figure out how to install other application on the phone, but looking around the internet it seems there is some way to do that.

For starters, I have to say that after owning the L6 from Motorola, I will never buy another brand of phone ever again; I love Moto!
THE GOOD;
There are a lot of good things about this phone, for starters.the look! This phone is great looking, so sleek and small. The screen is nice and bright and the phone is very personlizable. You can pick a welcome message, the color of your menus, different ring styles, individual ring tones, ect. Of course I think all Moto phones have those options. The volume was nice and clear too!
THE OKAY;
The camera was ok, it was nice to capture those "OH COOL!" kinda moments but I mean.if you want a real nice camera then just go buy an actual camera if you ask me! The buttons were hard to get used to after having a phone from LG. The keys are raised so that's quite nice. That's what I liked about this phone over the RAZR.
Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying an unlocked phone and according to Cingular, you won't get as good of service unless it's a Cingular phone...so therefore? I hardly ever got to actually talk on this phone because I never got a signal! It's not the phone, it was the fact that I bought an unlocked phone...not meant for AT&T.
THE BAD;
This phone is small which is good but not for me. I had problems holding on to it and I always felt like it was going to fall out of my back pocket . The good news is the phone isn't easily broken because I've dropped it on a number of different surfaces and their is just barely a scuff towards the bottom. You name it, I've dropped it there; concreate, under the seat, hardwood floor, in the grass, fallen behind the bed, ect.so don't worry, it's a sturdy little thing but the camera buttons are awkwardly placed!
The number one problem was the fact that it was a bar phone; I would put it in my purse and I guess it would flip flop around and some numbers got punched, like once...I guess it accidently dialed my brother and he called me back during school! So I constantly have to have the keypad locked so it doesn't develop a mind of it's own. The bad thing about that is the fact that you can't easily whip it out to tell the time or anything. I thought I'd like a bar phone because there is no flippage and you can just hit the ACCEPT button and there you have it...but I miss my shell!
Not a bad phone, not the most convenient but it'll get the job done.or should I say the call made?!

Ill be honest with you all, im very hard on phones. Ive had the sony ericsson w300i, broken 2 of them. ive had a couple lgs and a razor, they have all broke. Ive had this phone for about 4 months now and i have one tiny scratch on the bottom of it. The slvr is by far the most durable phone ive ever had, ideal for the people that are a little harder on their phones. The camera is a little lack-luster, and the memory is not ideal (especially with out the memory chip that the l7 is capable of using) but other than that, it is flawless. Blue tooth combatability is very nice and the scratch free screen helps out alot. i know that the screen resolution isnt the best of all phones produced but no one notices it, let-a-lone cares. Its sleek design is easy on the eyes and creates some phone envy from other people. It gets great service (obviously some of that depends on your service provider) and has all the essentials. The best part-other than the duarability- is the cost. very in-expensive and definatly worth the little money that you will pay for it
Hope this helps out
