My husband and I both got the rocker phones 2 weeks before christmas 2008. About 3 weeks later my phone decided to delete all my pictures. I took it to a tech and he was able to recover them so I thought all was good. Now for some reason whe I select the Music icon it tells me to enter my SD card, and that it doesn't recognize it. Well my husband just recently had ALL of his pictures as well has his music that was downloaded deleted as well. Since the SD cards are considered an accessory we have been informed the US Cellular will not cover it under warranty or insurance. It sucks. We spent $250 on these phones and now they are pieces of junk!

Had the Razr for a few years and was very excited to finally get rid of it. Saw the Rokr and had to have it. I have had it about a week now and have mixed thoughts. Yes, I like it .but. I like all that it does. It takes very clear crisp pics despite not having a flash. I added a 2 GB microsd and adding music is a snap. That goes the same for adding pics. I am somewhat unhappy with the holster. It does not come with one so I bought the Alltel belt holster clip thingy one. The problem is the whole face of the phone is exposed and yep you guessed it. The phone is beat and all scratched up all ready. I am thinking of a pouch style case now, however, and then I will not be able to hear the ringer or music unless a headset is in use. I like to turn on the mp3 player and put phone back on my belt to enjoy the music. The phone does not feel very durable against small taps of hard objects. In addition, I do not think the reception is as good as the Razr but it does ok. I did play the mp3 player for well over an hour yesterday and saw very little battery drain. So to sum up my thoughts on the Rokr, very neat phone, many cool features and add ons. Get a secure protective case (horizontal style) and a headset to enjoy the music. The speaker does sound great to me but if it is in a case then you will loss the sound big time.

Like the previous two posts, I was a cell phone user that HAD to have the new Rokr Z6m. I got it and it worked well for about three weeks, excluding the occasional mishap where it just neglected to send a text message or alert me of a voicemail. Overall, just venial matters.
Then one day the Rokr decided it wasn't going to turn on. The battery was fully charged and I had made sure that there was no physical damage to the phone whatsoever. It should have been in perfect working condition.
I took the phone into my US Cellular provider and the phone was sent to Motorola's repair shop over six weeks ago. I have called multiple times asking if I was anywhere near getting my phone back. Each time I have spent over fifteen minutes on hold only to hear they were "unsure of my phone's status".
I complained to multiple US Cellular employees and they said they wished they could help. They went on to tell me that this has been the case with SEVERAL of the Rokr Z6m phones they have sold to the point where one customer has been out of a phone for OVER TWO MONTHS. I am enraged and insulted that Motorola has the nerve to continue to sell this clearly defective phone.

I shopped for the perfect phone until I found the z6m. I had to wait until Oct 14 for it to become available. I was so excited to have it. Then, 2 weeks into my z6m experience, I was talking on it and the faceplate popped off and fell against my face. I figured perhaps it would just pop back on, but no luck. That was on Oct 28.
On advice from Motorola (my wireless retailer couldn’t help me with this one…?) I sent the phone in for repair. $8 more for UPS. I got it back, unrepaired after a few days, with a checkmark next to the line “Physical/Liquid damage”. So I called again and explained that I had babied the phone and it had never been exposed to liquid or physical damage. The faceplate simply popped off by itself. They suggested I send the phone in for re-evaluation with a letter explaining everything I had been telling the various Motorolaids.
So I did that. I got it back on Saturday with the same results. A check next to “Physical / Liquid Damage” and an unrepaired phone. So I called again and got the case escalated.
(NOTE: For every “call” that I mention, it was actually between 2 and 15 calls due to the “status system being updated” for over a week, or “someone will call me back”. I’m leaving that out as I’m just plain worn out from this experience.)
I just got off the phone with Randa S. from Motorola Escalation department. She’s a supervisor there. She and I talked for about 30 minutes and all she could say is that she has no authority to replace my phone or return my money, since it’s been noted as Physical damage. She tried to be nice and helpful, but mostly she was just ineffective.
So, it looks like I’m out $200 and now I hate Motorola because I’m certain that they’re cheating their customers and selling defective products that they have no intention of replacing or fixing. The woman at the wireless retailer I bought the phone from is equally ineffective (sorry Melanie, but it's true) but she did tell me that she's had other customers come back with the exact same problem.
Be fore-warned!

This phone fxcking sucks! I advise whoever is looking into buying this phone not to. It is a piece of shxt and Motorola should be ashamed to even sell it. It is not durable and cuts off all the time. I have to check it every chance i get to make sure it is still on.
DO NOT BUY IT!
