I've had this phone for two days.
I can't believe they bother to list the Motorola link on this phone. Verizon has transformed the original Motorola phone into a piece of junk. I can't get ringtones onto the phone. I can't get video onto the phone. I can't get wallpaper onto the phone. I can't get music onto the phone.
Vcast Music has replaced the great looking MP3 functionality in the unbranded version. They've disabled the bluetooth file transfer profile, and the USB connection does not allow you to transfer files to the card. I don't have a memory card reader to try, so that might work. I was able to connect via bluetooth in phone tools once. Since then, the bluetooth menu hasn't listened to any of my button presses. I tried powering down and removing the battery with no luck. The manual says it will sync with window media player 10. That doesn't work either. It can't find the phone over any of the methods I've tried. To pour salt in the wounds, it displays a tacky red vcast advertisement every time I power it up or down.
I was originally hoping to develop some games and applications using J2ME for the original Motorola version. This version uses BREW for applications, so I can't develop anything without paying pretty large license fees to Qualcomm. The one demo game sucks, and from what I can tell, I can't get any other apps without buying them.
The top and bottom bars are verizon red, and changing the theme does not change them. I could have just gone with the free phone.
So the phone looks great when it's turned off. Other than that it's not what I had hoped. Nowhere near what Motorola originally advertised.

i had this phone for 2 weeks.
Pros:
-mp3 player, not itunes
-2GB storage card slot
-vcast video is clear
-vcast music is okay but $1.99 per song plus airtime charges buggs me. also, it's not the highest quality music 94 kbps.
-thin
Cons:
-it's a verizon phone so many things on the phone are blocked.
-annoyed by the red theme.
-camera sucks. resolution highest is only 640x480
-don't get good reception. i barely get any EVDO coverage with this phone.
-little storage 20Mb, can only put maybe 2 vcast music videos.
-can't put music on my phone, so i had to do it with the enV and put that SD card from the enV to my SLVR. i had problems putting music on my enV too.
-won't work with motorola phone tool
