The Motorola W7 (Active Edition) shakes things up by sensing the body's movement, orientation and hand gestures to perform tasks. Equipped with a built-in accelerometer, the handset can perform tasks with simple hand gestures like a quick shake or a tap on the phone. Users can silence the ring of incoming calls, snooze the alarm clock or pause the music by turning the phone over. Shaking it twice will launch pre-set application and flicking right or left moves between music tracks and photos. Pre-loaded games use motion-control to enhance the action. The W7 also comes with an integrated pedometer, so users can create a personal profile, set goals, complete workouts and review summary reports. Additional features include a 2.0-megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM Radio and up to 8GB optional external memory.

Main Features

  • Built-in accelerometer senses the body for movements, orientation and hand gestures to perform tasks -- flip the phone over to silence incoming calls, snooze the alarm or pause music, shake twice to launch application, or flick the phone right or left to move between songs and images
  • Integrated step pedometer counts and records daily walks and runs
  • Personal Trainer application creates a profile and helps set goals, create workout profiles and review summary reports
  • Shake, jump and dance through pre-loaded games with motion-control gaming
