Good Value for a Simple Phone
Reviewer: shutterbug on Mon Feb 07, 2005
I've had this phone for a few months now, and it is a pretty good phone. No, it doesn't have all those fancy features, like web access or instant messaging (though it does have text messaging capabilities). The screen resolution is decent, not exceptional, but good enough, for a cell phone. There is an extensive choice of about 20 or 30 different ring tones, if that's important to you. But honestly, I'm not really looking for all these silly extras when buying a phone. I get a phone for the phone, plain and simple. If this sounds like you, then this may be the phone for you.
What makes this phone great are the features related to making actual phone calls: speakerphone, extendable antenna, and exceptional capability to pick up signal where most other phones do not (including phones of the same service provider). I've been able to use my phone in elevators, basements, in the mountains... as long as you get at least one bar, you'll be able to make a call without much static.
The major downside to this phone is the below average battery life. I use my phone pretty much every day (but usually only to make short calls), and I find myself having to charge it every two or three days. Tip: turn the phone off if you have to roam (unless you absolutely need it) because it will use up your battery life at a faster rate.
