I have had the 6200 for a month. The RF reception is exception. I have yet to have a dropped call, compared to my old Siemens S40, especially since I have Cingular (not exactly great coverage in the bay area). The polyphonic ringtone is sufficiently loud to be heard in crowds. The FM radio is also pretty good. The tuner is able to pick up some stations that my car radio had difficulties locking. The display is excellent, with good color rendition with gif files.
Now the cons: The speaker is a little too soft to hear over in a train or crowds. The built-in memory is not enough if you have a hundred contacts, voice tag, ring tones and games.
Summary: Highly recommended for business or casual users.

The Nokia 6200 is a big improvement over many past models in the way of reception; it is certainly at the top of the list in that forum (see exception below). The sleek design is readily apparent right out of the box, and the EDGE capability will likely prove itself worthy to US subscribers once the country joins the modern world with 3G compatible service, hence supporting the EDGE capability. The GSM 850/1800/1900 frequencies allow this phone to roam in much of the world (minus countries where the sole GSM 900 band is used), and the 850 MHz band will be an added benefit for the US, as the frequency becomes more widely use there.
One area of concern, and it is noteworthy, is that this handset has problems with SIM registration failures. (Noted, but not necessarily limited to the US AT&T network) Specifically, the phone is often annoyingly sluggish to regain reception (from basements, etc.) when returned to areas of known full signal strength, resulting in possible loss of incoming calls. The handset often loses registration when travelling between towers in areas of strong coverage as well, and as I have noted, sometimes will simply sit idle without a signal. This annoying issue can be averted by cycling the power, where the SIM registration is manually reset, and all the signal strength bars “mysteriously” reappear.
All in all, not a bad handset….

Just giving my opinion, the 6200 has considerably better reception than the 7210, Ericson t68 and the 6610 phones. I was about to cancel my contract with ATT and I was really pissed off at the service provider for having such crappy reception. The sales rep said to try the 6200. I am satified with this phone. I now get a signal in most of the problem areas that I had poor reception in before. I have had fewer dropped calls as well.
Also the EDGE browser is a lot faster loading as well. Overall i am pleased with this phone.

Bought it for a week, so far so good in voice quality. Ease of use. Very sharp and colorful display. Although the display brightness setting is kinda strange, it's more like contrast setting. Keypads are ok, the best part is the navigation button, it fits your thumb just right and then your thumb can slide over to feel the call and end button. It's not the best type of keypad because all the keys are joint together without a big gap. Key presses to UI response time is pretty fast. Although it isn't icon-driven like a palm-OS, the icons are so much closely related to their names and easy to memorize and they look nice. Calendar! The screen is so sharp that small fonts are very legible especially when you sms and browse the web. Radio!! Too bad, no AM, only FM. Can't listen to my talkshows. Phone is slim and fits in your hand nicely, easy to put in jeans pocket. There is only 8 polyphonic ring tone which is not bad, who cares if it plays all 32 tracks at once. Volume adjust is nicely placed and easy to increase and it can be loud. Speaker phone feature is nice but that is not blaring loud. Draw back of speaker phone is that you can listen, but don't know if the other side can hear you if you place it away from mouth piece. Lots of background graphics pre-loaded, fun to have, but could be disturbing for reading the screen sometimes. Power button might be hard to press, but I guess it's designed so it can't be accidently turned off by accident.
Overall the phone is excellent for it's price, it has room for more applications, but maybe the memory could be an issue if you have lots of games on it. Phone list can add multiple phone numbers, transfer list with details information through intra R is a nice feature. Haven't tried the syncML stuff which I don't need. This is a multi featured phone for a long run investment, and it's tri-band, I can bring it to other counties too. It's almost like a PDA without a PDA bulkness.

I purchased the Nokia 6200 yesterday and so far I am very pleased with the phone. I have AT&T, which at the moment like most other carriers in the US, is a little thin with their GSM coverage but so far I have not had any problems. In fact I am getting excellent signal strength in areas where I was not getting any at all with my previous carrier (the problem could have been my old phone). I strictly use the 6200 for voice and text messaging, no problems with either so far. I like the compact size, the gold color is a bit strange but I understand that it is (or will be) available in other colors.

All I can say is that this phone comes out on top for RF. The only 2 other GSM phone I got a chance to try in my home that actually worked WELL was a Nokia 7210 and a Motorola V60.
I live in the hills, and there is a GSM tower about 2 miles away (Radius). For this reason, my home lacks any signal from Cingular or T-Mobile. My wife has a Motorola T720, and she can't get signal anywhere in the house unless she's upstairs.
I originally wanted the LG 4050 on Cingular, but after 4 days of not able to recieve or make outgoing call, I returned to the store, and got what my friend told me to be the best RF phone for Cingular with an affordable price. I would love the 7250, but that's just want too much money for a phone.
I have been using the phone for the past 3 weeks now. And love it. However I do wish list
1) Assign ringtone to each individual
2) Allow more caller groups
3) Allow changing the caller group icon (they are too girly)
4) Allow more SMS templates or delete/modify default templates ONLY 25
5) larger, more color screen
6) more Chords! (8 only...when most Samsung and other support more)
7) Allow you use the radio via Loudspeaker without attaching headset
Overall I really enjoy the phone. Specailly coming from a P8767 that is about 4-5 years old!

I have had this phone for about 1 1/2 years, have had no problems with it. Sound quality is great, the displays are easy to ready, the phone is easy enough to navgate through, most options are 3 to 4 clicks away, makes for quick navigation. I have dropped my phone several times and the phone has not cracked or stopped working, very durable and reliable.

I just upgraded from a Nokia 8265 (TDMA) to the Nokia 6200 (GSM/EDGE) I love this phone, it works in many places where my 8265 would not, and having the mMode features is great, so I can check sports scores while at work.
I highly recommen this phone.
