Great phone, has a few quirks
Reviewer: newsshooter on Fri Jun 17, 2005
Okay, first of all, this is, hands down, the BEST phone I've ever owned. From Sanyo's to Samsungs, to Moto's this one's got em beat.
Speakerphone is as good as any Nextel or Sanyo have, sound is great.
Reception is excellent, as it usually is for a Nokia
It's well built, and has all the bells and whistles, from bluetooth to a decent vga cam, it's got it. I love the outlook sync-no more PDA!
Now for the quirks.
You can add a memory card. BUT you CAN NOT record directly to it. So, if you start recording, you first go to the phone memory, then to the card. So you've got to keep as much phone memory open as possible.
When you close the flip, it does not go to the home menu, it stays right where it was. They probably did this so the radio and MP3 players would work, but I wish they'd set it up so that, unless those are being used, closing the phone goes back to the home menu.
You can ONLY listen to FM radio with a headset plugged in-it uses the wire for the antenna.
You can not listen to music (FM or MP3) through bluetooth.
The headset jack is just that, a headset only. So, if you plug in a wired headset/mic, you can hear the caller, but keep in mind they are NOT hearing the mic on the headset, you still have to talk to the phone.
When using the flash, it seems the LED is a bit too wide angle, or may be too close to the lens. You get an annoying blue halo around your pics sometimes. Sometimes I think this is random, others it seems to relate to the distance to the subject. Either way, it's there. Other than that, the camera and video recorder are nice.
All in all, a nice phone. Lets see how long before I break the antenna on this one

nokia 6255

l bought this phone so l could get out of my motorola v265
While watching the news this phone came up on commercial l spent the first day checking out the phone and features okay cool phone all in all..it has Audio and Video Streaming cool Video Recording and Playback,Media Player/FM Radio, Bluetooth Wireless technology.
Nokia has came up with a cool phone that is stylish , fresh , clean lined phone ...although it lacks some of the features that l liked in my motorola phone ..like being able to ...set up individual ring tones instead of nokias in groups only..ring tones, l also do not care for the security set up...it doesnt lock automactically so you have to go back through settings to relock phone each time. not a good feature if you lose your phone :ermm:only one other problem remained for me was the text messaging there predictive text sucked....
If you can live with those features great phone
sadly l couldnt ...so l went with the motorola v710

Phone was OK
Reviewer: swobm on Mon Feb 06, 2006
I had this phone for a couple of months. I like the fact that you could put MP3's on it and use them as ring tones! I also liked the fact that you can choose what mode you want your phone to oporate in. Over all a very good phone. I was waiting for the Razor to come out and in the mean time I went with this one. Now I have a razor v3c
