Nokia has decided against a commercial launch of the 7700, its Symbian-based media device. The 7700 had been due for release in Q2 2004. The Nokia 7700 would have contained a color touch screen and a selection of mobile connectivity options to allow consumers to have instant access to media channels while on the move. While Nokia did not officially give its reasons for the demise of the 7700, the lack of suitable services would appear to be a major contributing factor.
