Overall I would say: a very nice business phone which could be also interessting for multimedia users The keypad is ok, it takes only a few minutes to get used to it. The active stand-by screen is nice, 7 shortcuty can be defined. Also every important calendar note is displayed. Support for Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Zipfiles. The big screen is perfect to watch movies. A big difference to older Symbian OS versions: if you run a program and press the red hang-up key it doesn't brings you back to the stand-by screen but keeps the app running. It will be killed immediately (something hardcore-S60-user have to get used to ) It is a good competition for RIM's BlackBerry's. Due to the fact it uses Symbian OS it might even be the better choice because you can customize it much more. Pro's - extrem fast phone - bright and clear display (320x240) - voice assistance for some applications - internet surfing via WLAN is possible - browser supports Java - VoIP support - loud musicplayer - good speech quality - interrupted installations can be resumed with the application manager - 64 MB internal memory - FAT32 file system for memory card supported - supports incoming videocalls - the browser supports multible windows and has a popup-blocker Con's - new charger - the jack is alot smaller than the old one (Nokia has put an adapter in the package, but if you forgot both at home: bad luck borrow one of your friends - phone has FlashLite installed but the browser doesn't support Flash - cover isn't exchangeable - miniSD is hot-swapable but you stil have to remove the battery cover to get to it - the email-button only works for emails and isn't configureable Minor Con's - Series 60 3rd Edition - way to few (good) software available - missing camera - only Mono Headset included Package content: Nokia E61 1500 mhA Battery Charger Adapter for older chargers CA-53 cable 64 MB miniSD Mono Headset CD with PC Suite Manual Was this review helpful? :: 39 out of 40 people found this review helpful.
