After a few days, my N70 is going back to where it came from.
What a rip-off these MP3 phones are! I bought it to avoid having to carry 2 devices. Alas, the stupid nokia does nothing that any cheap mp3 player does:
- plug any headset in the unit (you must carry an adapter)
- plug my miniUSB cable (you must carry an adapter)
- be used as removable storage (you must carry a CD and install drivers)
- charge from the USB port (you must carry the charger)
So now instead of carrying 2 devices, I carry only one, plus 4 accessories, and I must install software (and I am not even mentioning the new charger plug, which also requires an adapter. Thank you Nokia!)
Reviewers must not just assess what features are provided on the phones they test. They should complain loudly when these features are rendered useless by all the hoops users are supposed to go through in order to use them. How this can not be even mentioned is beyond me.
This should be a main theme of interest for music enabled cell phones, rather than whether there are gadgets like an equalizer, and reviewers and users should campaign for this madness to cease. In the meantime, I am off to buy a user-friendly mp3 player and get rid of the ridiculous N70.
