The Nokia N8 is designed to connect people, places and services to their favorite social networks, on-demand Web TV programs and Ovi Store apps. Powering by Nokia's Symbian ^3 software, the N8 has several major advances, including support for multi-touch, flick scrolling and pinch-zoom. The handset features a 12.0-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a Xenon flash, rivaling those found in digital cameras. Users can also record HD-quality videos, edit them with built-in tools and show them with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound through an HDMI connection. The N8 has social networking functions to allow users to update their status, share location and photos, and view live feeds from Facebook and Twitter on the home screen. Rounding out the options, the handset comes with free global Ovi Maps walk and drive navigation, to guide travelers to places and points of interest in more than 70 countries worldwide.
