The Good
It has a small, attractive form factor that is sure to get second looks. It also comes with a purple battery cover in addition to the default black one. The swivel feels solid and can be opened/closed easily with one hand. It's the first cell phone I have ever seen that has a hole in it. That hole is actually the contact ring light that can be set to a number of different colors for texts and missed calls.
The keyboard on this phone is very easy to use and the top row consists of quick launch keys for things like music, browser, new message, voice dialing, speakerphone, and camera. I found out that when you are done typing a text message, you can use the green "Send" key as well as the OK key on the D-pad. The keys were just the right size and had adequate spacing between them.
The Not So Good
I know that some people have said the call volume on this phone is lacking, but I have had no problems hearing people and they have no problems hearing me. You should know that the earpiece on this phone is somewhat small and you do have to position it over your ear a certain way.
The camera on this phone is not very good even for a 3MP. Even with bright lighting/flash, the pictures still come out blurry and washed out. Video is even worse. If a good camera is important to you, look elsewhere.
The phone comes with boring wallpapers. Most of the included wallpapers are animated but the animations appear slow and jerky. The ringtone selection isn't that great either. There's also Habitat Mode, which I've never liked. The two themes for Habitat are "Super World" and "Urban Jungle" but they both just seem a little juvenile for my tastes.
The web browser is not too good either and having to use the D-pad to move the cursor around pages is a tedious process. If you are a heavy web user, I strongly suggest you look at another phone.
It has a 2.5mm headset jack instead of 3.5mm.
The battery covers for this phone seem a bit cheap. When I put my battery cover back on my Samsung Rogue, I know it's on because I hear a solid click. With this phone, you have to go around all the sides and press down to make sure it's on.
Sometimes when you are pressing the D-pad you might accidentally hit the two touch keys on either side of the D-pad. I have found that setting the touch key sensitivity to "low" helps cure this problem.
I wish there was a way to manually set the back-light brightness. Sometimes the ambient light sensor lightens/darkens the screen when you don't want it to.
Conclusion
It's a decent mid-tier phone, but I feel that Nokia could have done more with it. I would strongly suggest you spend some time at the Verizon store trying this phone out before committing to it.
