Released for Sprint, the Palm Pixi is longer, slimmer and lighter than its sibling, the Pre. It runs Palm's latest WebOS software and comes with a touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, 2.0-megapixel camera, music player, dual speakers and 8GB of built-in memory. The Pixi integrates AIM Instant Messenger, Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger are combined in a single chat-style view. Users can scroll and zoom using natural gestures. A universal search looks through contacts and apps, then offers to search Google, Google Maps, Wikipedia, or Twitter. One more tap opens up Google Maps. Instead of a center key, the handset has a touch-sensitive bar located between the screen and keyboard.
|
- Integrated QWERTY keyboard lets users type quickly and conveniently to compose text messages, chat with friends or email colleagues
- Palm Synergy brings Outlook, Google, and Facebook calendars and contacts together for one logical view, and groups conversations with the same person in one chat-style view
- Flip through multiple applications and open and move easily between them
- Text messages and calendar appointments appear as notifications at the bottom of the screen so users will know what's going on without being interrupted
- Fast browser brings full websites the way they were meant to be seen
