Released for T-Mobile, the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9780 is a thinner, lighter and updated version of its predecessor, the BlackBerry Bold 9000 smartphone but keeps the same 2.44-inch displpay and 35-key QWERTY keyboard. The new handset replaces the original Bold's trackball with an optical trackpad. It features a faster Web browser, improved 5.0-megapixel camera and twice the storage with 512MB of flash memory (2GB card included). The Bold 9780 also comes with the same high-speed HSDPA Internet access, Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as music and video features.
|
- Large, high-resolution screen that displays over 65K-colors -- creating a vivid viewing experience for photos, videos, files and Web sites
- Trackpad navigation based on how laptops are designed by gliding a finger over to scroll through menus and icons and select an item with a slight press and click
- Built-in 5.0-megapixel camera features video recording and share them through email, text messages or social networking sites
- High-speed 3G network connectivity lets users browse the Web or view email attachments faster -- with Wi-Fi support to access hotspots
- Easily sync data and audio files from a desktop to the handset, and get up to 35 hours of music playback time
- Enhance the 512MB of on-board flash memory and easily insert a microSD card to create extra room for emails, messages, apps, multimedia files, documents and all the other important things
