Released for T-Mobile, the RIM BlackBerry Pearl Flip (8220) has a chrome-finished frame surrounding its smooth, luminescent face. It has a high-resolution screen on the outside, so consumers can view emails, text messages and phone calls without opening the handset. A larger screen on the inside lets them browse web pages, watch videos and read email. The BlackBerry Pearl Flip features a built-in 2.0-megapixel camera with flash, zoom and video recording capabilities. An advanced media player lets users watch videos and play music. It offers an equalizer with 11 preset filters. The QWERTY keyboard makes typing messages convenient. The Pearl Flip supports up to 10 email accounts. Consumers can edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. It also has a speakerphone and Bluetooth 2.0 for use with handsfree headsets, stereo headsets, car kits and other Bluetooth peripherals. Integrated Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) supports UMA (unlicensed mobile access) for voice calls over home Wi-Fi networks.
