I bought my Rant yesterday, and was a little worried about not being able to delete chatting between me and others, because sometimes, it gets a little personal. But I selected a chat between my sister and I and then selected Options, and right there on the list is a Delete option. I don't know if this was an upgrade done recently or what. Just wanted to keep you in the loop.

This phone is really nice. It feels great in your hand, the weight is good (heavy enough), and the sliding keyboard feature is excellent! And the keyboard is really fast to use once you get used to how the FN/SHIFT/SYM keys work.
It makes chatting far easier and far more pleasant! But there's one chat feature I'm not happy with.
If you compose a chat to a person, they are automatically saved in a list called "Send To Recent". This list is magically created and maintained by the phone. You cannot clear, access, or remove items from this list. If you respond to someone, or send a note to someone, you can never remove them from the list. The Security features do not provide access to the list, so it cannot be cleared or modified. Thus, if the list gets too long, or if you responded to someone and you don't want others to know, too bad so sad - you're had!
This appears to be the only feature of the phone that is this way. I can clear every other list managed by the phone - web sites visited, cookies, I can even clear the list of contacts if I want!
The phone needs to be updated to allow us to either remove individual contacts from or completely clear the "Send To Contacts" list
