Let me start by saying that I have had many cell phone providers and have used many different brands of phone, but none could be as bad as this phone.
The first phone I got, worked fine for the first few weeks, then for no reason at all the keys would stop working. I would turn it on and off and they would work again for a while, but after a few hours they would stop working again. No matter how much you pressed nothing would happen. About a few weeks after that, the screen went all white and that was that. I could still use the phone, as long as I didnt want to see what was going on.
After I had the second phone, the same problems started happening again. Just stay awy from thi horror!

You don't have to open the phone to use it if you don't need the keypad. Push the volume button on the left side for some seconds, then the screen would light up and you can unlock the buttons below the screen.
Overall, I like this phone. Just don't like the limited functions of the IR and the software. Bad thing is that you can not expand the memory or update the firmware (CMIIW). If the firmware could be updated, there are a lot of improvements Samsung should make, like enabling the IR to send any objects.
No memory slots also annoying when you are in an important event. It's embarrasing to say run out of memory.
Oh... one bug in the pre-installed chess games I think... If you can move the pawns to your opponent first row, you can have additional queens. That's nice, don't you think?

I am imprssed by the large screen, it is the same resolution as my K700i. It has more colors then it so i am a bit jealous . The screen is a tfd lcd display, it will use less power then tft but will be less bright. i prefer a tft witch it easy to see in the sun.
First off, i dont like how i have to open the phone to work with it.
Camera features are the same like what other VGA phones have to offer, frames, effects, digital zooming. Quite familiar.
Unlike other phones of this class, memory is really limited, only 600KB for images and sounds and 512 KB for J2ME applications.
It has grps connection and that is nice. I dont like how it has a limited Ir port. it can only send and recieve phonebook contacts. i want to be able to send pictures, videos, and sounds.
Finally, it is a nice phone, but could have had more features.
