I just recently purchased this phone from a local cingular wireless store. What first caught my girlfriends and my eye was the high res screen on the front. Very cool features including picture caller-id right on the front.
Everything about this phone seemed superlitive...I say seemed for a good reason.
It feels like they spent so much time on the new gadgets and features, that they forgot about actual speaker quality.
Mind you, the downloadable ringtones and MP3 quality stuff sounds great, but when your actually talking to another person on the phone, well, it leaves much to be desired. You know that distorted sound you get when you turn a really cheap, paper speaker way up...that crackling sound like you really should have spent the extra $10 on the higher quality sound system. In a nutshell thats what they should have done, spent as much time on the speaker and less on cool functions.
If I'm going to spend close to $250 on a phone which the main funtion is communicating with other people, I'd like to hear them clearly without having to ask them to repeat themselves every 10 seconds.
Definatly impressed by the features, less than statisfied with the speaker quality. I'm returning this model for on which I can actually hear clearly.

I use to have this phone and i got rid of it for the same reason. The speacker quality sounds like the speaker was busted eeven though it's BRAND NEW. The service and reception on this phone is a little but better than a motorola but not by much.
Yes, For the same reason, i was attracted to the features and all the cool lights until to brought the phone home and made a call. IT sounded HORRIBLE.
